Laidlaw Education is the most experienced in-person mock exam provider in South West London having successfully run them since 1994.
We offer carefully designed mock exams for children preparing for 7+, 8+, 9+, 10+ and 11+ entrance exams, as well as for families seeking an independent assessment of their child’s academic level.
We also run 11+ Experience Days with workshops, interview preparation, and support for exam technique.

Top secondary schools look beyond test scores to see the whole candidate. That’s why many now use "experience days" to evaluate prospective pupils.
To help your child feel confident and prepared, and to give your child the competitive edge, Laidlaw Education is hosting immersive mock experience days at our dedicated exam centre (Sheen Lane Day Centre, 74 Sheen Lane, London SW14 8LP).
Led by experienced, professional KS2 educators, our comprehensive 11+ morning sessions include:
Interview Preparation: Practical techniques and mock interviews.
Team Problem-Solving: Collaborative activities designed to showcase leadership and peer interaction.
Drama & Improvisation Workshops: Boosting creativity, quick thinking, and self-confidence.
Exam Technique Masterclass: Essential tips for managing time and handling pressure.
Flexible Booking for Year 6 Pupils: Children are welcome to attend the immersive morning session, sit the in-person mock exams in the afternoon, or join us for the full day.

Practical Information
Mock exams take place in East Sheen (Sheen Lane Day Centre, 74 Sheen Lane, London SW14 8LP).
Results are shared on the following Thursday afternoon. Papers are returned fully marked, with helpful comments and cohort averages where appropriate.
Different papers are set on each date, allowing pupils to sit multiple mock exams to track progress, improve exam technique and identify areas for development.
Discounts are available when booking multiple exams, and for children who are currently having term-time lessons with us.

Children usually sit their 11+ exams in the Autumn term of Year 6. Our comprehensive series of in-person mock exams mirrors this timeline.

About our 11+ mock exams:
Includes English, Maths and Reasoning
English includes SPaG (spelling, punctuation and grammar)
Reasoning reflects current entrance exam formats, including ISEB
Papers are set at an appropriate level for the time of year
Results can offer independent benchmarking against peers
We give feedback to support preparation and school selection
Our dates and formats reflect the earlier timing and variety of Autumn term entrance exams, including schools such as Tiffin. It is important children are prepared for all variations.

We run mock interview sessions to prepare students for their 11+. These are run by a specialist experienced in interviewing children of this age.
Mock interviews and preparation as part of our 11+ Experience Days will be held at Sheen Lane Day Centre (East Sheen).
Mock interviews arranged individually are held at our education centre at The National Archives in Kew during the Autumn term - please contact us to arrange these.
